The girl from Manyata has graduated!
It is very pleasing to report that Lily emailed me her photo and her degree achievement form. I have reported on Lily previously and of her struggle to achieve her potential.
For the record her grades out of a total of 48 were:-
A - 17
B+ - 14

Pass - 3 This was a pass but not awarded a grade.
Lily Graduated from Sokoine University of Agriculture with B.Sc Wildlife Management.
It has been a long journey from the primary school pupil who became the chairperson of our environment group and school tree nursery to a B.Sc graduand.
The photo she sent was titled 'this is your daughter' and in her humbling letter she wrote that she has 'harvested the fruits of our investment in her' education. She remembers all who have contributed over the years, even in the smallest way to help her on her journey.
My understanding is that her career path is within the wildlife service but she has a hankering to complete a masters degree which will mean she has to find sponsorship.
We wish her well.
